How to Decide on a Safe
What is it that makes a safe? When you shop for a safe, what are the specific items that you look for in a safe? There is the size, exterior color, lock, handle, and graphics. Here are a few things to consider when shopping for a safe. What is the fire rating of the safe? How is the safe subjected to a fire test? Is the fire test simulating a home fire or is just pulling numbers out of the airto place on the fire sticker? Is there locking pins on all sides of the door or just the open side? Do all of the locking pins function or are they fixed? How is the door made? Are you paying for a safe that has a thick door but no weight to it or does the door heavy and thck when you swing it? Are the locking pins gear driven or are they direct driven?
